5 Nuts For Health: Your Personal Guide To A Better Diet

It’s hard to imagine that something that tastes so great is also packed with vital nutrients that are healthy and beneficial all round. Nuts have been known to people long before the dawn of civilization. They kept our hunter-gathering ancestors full and provided them ample supplies of protein, minerals and other essential nutrients. A humble nut has a powerful taste that can help you stay on top of your health and maintain it, for life. Here are some of the best nuts and seeds that will keep you going and provide you with plenty of power to fuel your health journey. (You can find a list, by category here)

1.Almonds Are High In Vitamin E – One of the most nutritious nuts, almonds contain lots of important minerals like calcium, magnesium, copper and potassium to name a few. What makes almond a good source of vitamin E? The fact that almonds have to be peeled and roasted, making it one of the easiest foods that you can eat raw in the comfort of home or at any time without having to leave your kitchen. Almonds are also packed with healthy omega 3 fatty acids which can improve memory. There are several sources of this nutrient and they include walnuts and almonds, but if you like your almonds whole, just add them yourself, just don’t peel and roast them first. 2.Bananas Contain Important Potassium – If you want healthy bananas and not only their taste, you must know that there is more than just these two aspects. Bananas contain plenty of nutrition, potassium being one of them. Most often people think about potassium as an electrolyte. But this mineral is much deeper than that. Though sodium is used as a remedy for a ton of medical conditions, it actually causes a lot of water retention and bloating, which is an easy way to lose weight and prevent kidney stones. Another reason why bananas are a decent food source of potassium is that it contains very little natural sugars. 3.Coconut Is Full Of Energy And Vital Minerals – Many of us may not even realize what coconut powder can do for our body until we give it a try. Coconut is extremely high in energy and helps you maintain a balanced blood sugar level. This mineral is highly needed for many organs and it also aids digestion and a lot of other functions, that are beneficial for overall well-being. However, there are also tons of benefits that come along with eating Coconut, whether that be weight loss or promoting bone health. 4.Coffee Can Be Baked Or Drinked As A Liquid – Just like the word ‘coffee’, coffee is popular among adults around the world. Since caffeine is a stimulant, it helps to get things moving faster, especially as we get older during the day. Not all humans are able to function properly because they stop functioning at their peak when we reach an afternoon caffeine break. So the next time you think that it’s too late for a cup of tea with honeydew syrup instead of a strong shot of espresso, think again. No matter how sweet your hot water is, you can still drink it. Instead, mix a cup of white instant cold brewed coffee and have it ready at home. Coffee can also be flavored. Try adding rosemary or cinnamon into the mix to make it more delicious, both together make for a potent punch that is perfect to start any morning. 5.Grape Is Good As Food Because It Has Calcium - The biggest mineral found in grapefruit, calcium is a nutrient that cannot be found naturally in your diet. When you are trying to burn fat, its your muscles that need the right amount of calcium, otherwise a low level of calcium in your system will lead to serious muscle cramps and fatigue. Calcium is important for proper glucose absorption so that your body doesn’t feel starved for glucose. It is also important for heart function and blood pressure since it affects blood volume and keeps the heart on the right track. Grapefruit has plenty of calcium. In addition to that, the large size of the fruit makes it easier to consume. Also, a number of studies have shown that grapefruit juice is very healthy and can even be consumed alongside foods like yogurt and berries. If you love grapefruit juice but don’t have it yet and want to try it once you are allowed back inside, go ahead with half a cup of ripe grapes and enjoy it. I personally like to substitute the dried red fruits to reduce the sugar content in the juices. Now, how to prepare and serve grapefruit juice?
